Konstantin Melidis is a geographer who graduated from the University of Graz, with stays abroad at the University of Minho/ Portugal and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens/ Greece. Ongoing training on empirical methods in the social and political sciences is an integral part of his professional development (e.g. University of Essex, University of Bamberg, Central European University Budapest).
Until 2018 Konstantin Melidis was a partner and consultant of the Austrian Association for Regional Development (Österreichische Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Regionalentwicklung – ÖAR), where he most recently was head of the consulting field “Evaluation and Impacts”. He has been a consultant at convelop since 2019.
For several years, his work has focused on the context of European regional and cohesion policy, especially in the field of EU Structural Funds, where he has been involved in numerous evaluations, studies and consulting projects.
