The founder of convelop studied sociology and technical mathematics and wrote her dissertation in the area of biomedical measurement technology. (The dissertation resulted in the foundation of the company “cnsystems”, which received the Austrian State Award for Innovation). For four years, Karin Grasenick worked as a lecturer in the course of studies “Industrial Economics” of the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences and as project manager for innovative forms of learning at companies. Subsequently, as a scientific staff member of the research association JOANNEUM RESEARCH, among other positions as a senior researcher, she was assigned with research issues on the subject of qualification and employment. As a member of the works council of JOANNEUM RESEARCH, she was decisively involved in the development of the ethics contract (a component of the Collective Agreement for Research Organisations).
