Thomas Jud has diverse key areas of activity, including the design and evaluation of RTI funding programmes, the evaluation of projects and institutions, financing of innovations and businesses, business creation, venture capital markets (both on the supply and demand sides), and SME policy.
After the completion of his studies in economics, Thomas Jud worked for JOANNEUM RESEARCH in Graz and Vienna. In 1999, he founded “Technopolis Austria” together with two partners. As of 2001, Thomas Jud was managing director of the AVCO (Austrian Private Equity and Venture Capital Organisation, and as of 2007 partner at INVEST EQUITY. In 2011, he founded the consulting company IMPROVEO Beratungs-GmbH. Since 2016, he is Managing Partner at convelop.
